UCSF Patient Support Corps
NOTE: Due to the UCSF Interim Policy on Large Events and Gatherings in light of COVID-19, many events have been cancelled or postponed. If you are interested in an event, please contact the event organizer for confirmation.

CURRENT UPDATES: With the "shelter-in-place" policy, all of our staff are telecommuting at this time. We are still offering electronic educational materials, over the phone support with question-listing, and remote note-taking and audio recording services (with your provider's permission). See recommended smartphone apps. Please contact us directly at 415-476-6004 or [email protected] to request our assistance. One of our team members will get back to you at their earliest convenience to help coordinate.

This may be an uncertain time for you and your loved ones. Please access some useful wellness and mental health apps that UCSF has compiled for meditation, relaxation, and coping with stress and anxiety. The Ida & Joseph Friend Patient and Family Cancer Support Center has also released a list of online resources and activities. View their online calendar and call ahead to check the status of current programming.

Navigating our modern healthcare system can be stressful and intimidating. The UCSF Patient Support Corps is here to help you with three proven support strategies. Email us at [email protected] to request our assistance.

Our interns provide materials, services, and referrals to help you with:

  1. Reviewing information
  2. Listing questions
  3. In-appointment recording and note-taking

There is no charge to patients making use of Patient Support Corps services, thanks to core funding generously provided by the Breast Care Center and individual donors. Please join our sponsors by making a donation
