Jeff Belkora, PhD, is the Director of the Patient Support Corps. Jeff is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery in the Institute for Health Policy Studies at UCSF. He designs, implements, and evaluates strategies to promote patient participation in medical decision making. In his capacity as Director of the Patient Support Corps, Jeff designs the program, marshals and deploys its resources, and trains and supervises its personnel. Email Jeff.
Tia Weinberg graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Rhetoric. She participated in the Patient Support Corps (PSC) as an intern for three years serving as a health coach for patients making upcoming treatment decisions. In 2015, she started coordinating our premedical undergraduate UC Berkeley and post-baccalaureate Breast Care Center interns as the Program Coordinator for the Patient Support Corps. Tia started supporting the Breast Care Center (BCC) internship in 2018 and in 2020, moved into the role of the BCC Internship Program Supervisor in addition to her work with the PSC.
